Northwestern Pennsylvania Emergency Response Group
What once started as the six emergency management directors meeting around a table in Erie County Emergency Operations Center in 1998 only to administer funding and projects, has grown to a functional regional group which provides a venue for all public safety and responder agencies to meet and work as a group filling the 72-hour void between local agencies arriving on-scene and assistance from the state agencies.
The Northwestern PA Emergency Response Group (NW PA ERG) is recognized under State Law Act 227 as one of nine in the Commonwealth. It covers a population of 477,583 people, over 4,608 square mile area, comprising of 156 municipalities.
Meetings are held at various locations in the region both monthly and quarterly. The General Membership meetings with regional and State/Federal partners take place on the second Tuesday every third month at 1:00 PM (Mar, June, Sept, Dec), while the Executive Committee meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 AM.
