The NW PA ERG utilizes grant funding awarded annually by the Department of Homeland Security through the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) to better prepare for, mitigate against, respond to, and recover from man-made or natural hazards that may affect our region. To prepare, the ERG conducts various planning, training, exercise, and equipment procurement activities during each grant performance period which align with a specific Investment Justification and Project as identified in each grant application. Funding is awarded for equipment procurement, training, and exercises activities based on priorties and availability.
